Learning what type of HDD your Windows computer does have is a really simple task without the need of any additional tools. Few days ago I was asked by a friend how to do this so this simple tutorial will maybe help you as well.
There are 2 simple steps at everybody’s hand:
1. Double click My Computer on your desktop
2. Right click the C drive and go to Properties as shown in the image below.
3. Go to Hardware tab.
As you can see, my computer has 2 hard drives: a traditional 7200RPM Hitachi and a SSD.
This is a very basic method but for more advanced options go to Start/All Programs/Accessories/System Tools/System Information. After the program launches, look at the summary screen and it tells you almost everything you need about your machine.
