Play music in your collection

Here's how to play music that you've saved to your PC:

• Open the Search charm, enter music, tap or click Apps, and then tap or click Music.
• Scroll to the left, tap or click my music, and then pick the song or album that you want to play, or add it to a playlist.

If you don't see any of your music in the my music section, just add songs to your Music library in the desktop and they'll appear in the app.

Stream music

With Xbox Music in the Music app, you can stream music for free on your PC or tablet. Discover and listen to millions of songs—both new hits and your favorite classics. Search for the artists you love and play your favorite songs or full albums. And you can create and save playlists to easily access your favorites.

You can also buy an Xbox Music Pass to get ad-free access to millions of songs on your PC, tablet, Windows Phone, andXbox.

Here's how to stream music:

• Open the Search charm, enter music, tap or click Apps, and then tap or click Music.
• In the Music app, open the Search charm, enter an artist, album, or song, and then tap or click search.
• Choose the artist, album, or song you want, and then click play.

Play CDs

You can play your CDs using Windows Media Player.

• Insert the CD into your PC.
• Tap or click Tap to choose what happens with audio CDs when it appears, and then choose Play audio CD.
